After dinner we will have our auction. There is also a Silent Auction!

This year we have introduced something new in the auction! What could that possibly be new??? Well.... we will be splitting the proceeds with the BPOUs. Our hope is that we get more items of higher value donated. Besides, a dollar in BPOU bank accounts is (almost) as good as a dollar in ours. The House District 53A Republicans are hosting a costume party.  It will be held Saturday, October 29 from 7:00 PM to 11:30 PM at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1050 Gramsie Road in Shoreview

Has Hope and Change scared you yet?  Join your conservative friends and neighbors for a night of hors d'oeuvres, drink, and political fun- all for only $25 per person! Come dressed as your favorite (or least favorite) politician or political icon, or simply  wrap yourself in the red, white, and blue for an evening! 

The night will be highlighted with a Mock Debate featuring surprise guests and is sure to produce some hilarious moments.  We'll have prizes for the best costume, a presidential straw poll, and much more!

Please join Republican House Districts 50B and 50A at Long Lake Regional Park (1500 Old Hwy 8) in New Brighton on Sept. 14 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. for our annual Patriot Picnic.

Thursday, September 1st is CD4 Day at the Minnesota State Fair. That means that we are tasked with staffing the MNGOP booth for that day. The following Sunday, September 4th is Saint Paul City Committee Day. We will even reimburse the cost of the "early bird" $10 ticket!

What would you do?

• Talk with voters
• Help them to respond to surveys, etc.
• Hand out literature and balloons--blow them up

Simple stuff like that. I will be doing three shifts myself. It is a lot of fun!

We have three shifts on each day, 9-1, 12-5, 5-9.

As you may be aware, Governor Dayton appointed (of all people) Ellen Anderson to the PUC. She has resigned her State Senate seat and the special election has been set for April 12th, two weeks away. We are calling on everyone in CD4 to help in the campaign. I, myself, have already been out lit dropping several times. I will be out again, and also phoning during the get out the vote effort. Please join in the fun!

Senate District 66 is the North side of Saint Paul plus the suburb Falcon Heights. Our candidate is Greg Copeland. This is a heavy Democrat area. However, we think that we have a real chance to win a special election if we execute our campaign well. The time has arrived to put muscle into the effort!
